The Local Road Network of the Barcelona Provincial Council connects municipalities, towns, residential areas and activity centres across the province, playing a key role in everyday mobility and territorial cohesion.
More than just infrastructure, local roads are part of the daily lives of the people who move through the territory. They link communities, services, landscapes and opportunities, forming a network that supports social and economic activity throughout the region.
At Medina Vilalta we developed the visual identity for the network with the aim of creating a clear and recognisable brand capable of representing such a large and diverse infrastructure.
The concept behind the identity places people at the centre. The symbol represents the connections between the people who live across the province and the way the road network brings territories together. The Local Road Network connects places, people and everyday life.
The resulting graphic system creates a flexible and coherent identity that strengthens the visibility of the network while reflecting its role as a public infrastructure that supports mobility, territorial cohesion and quality of life.
