Xarxa de Parcs Naturals
We renew the branding of the Xarxa de Parcs Naturals of the Province of Barcelona: an image that symbolizes territory, nature, and cohesion
At Medina Vilalta & Partners, we have led the redesign of the visual identity of the Xarxa de Parcs Naturals, a strategic branding project that marks a new step forward in the identification, cohesion, and representation of the vast territory comprising 14 parks and the many activities taking place within them. With a fresh perspective, we have brought back the iconic “P” for parks, turning it into the new symbol of the network: a circular, solid, and highly recognizable form that conveys a sense of belonging and connection to the land.
At the same time, we have developed a comprehensive visual system that ensures consistency, recognizability, and accessibility. The Corporate Identity Manual, created by our agency, governs the use of all logos for the parks and natural areas, integrating them into an endorsed brand architecture that strengthens the overall identity while preserving local uniqueness. Each park’s brand is framed within the network through the shared “P,” yet maintains its individuality by incorporating its own identifying icon.
We have also visually reorganized various programs and initiatives—such as Viu el parc and Parc a taula—which are now incorporated into a more cohesive, efficient, and easily applicable corporate graphic system. We designed a complementary color palette for cultural, educational, and outreach activities, and introduced the new corporate typeface Font DiBA, which modernizes and enhances the readability of all materials.
Through this project, Medina Vilalta & Partners reaffirms its leadership in the creation of powerful, transformative institutional identities, applying contemporary and accessible design standards to a complex public structure like the Xarxa de Parcs Naturals, managed by the Barcelona Provincial Council.
The new image is already being progressively implemented across communication platforms and signage, where we have defined header guidelines and reworked the color system to ensure full accessibility.
This is a decisive step toward positioning the Xarxa de Parcs Naturals as what it truly is: a comprehensive model of territorial management that is sustainable, transparent, and close to its people.
